Surfing
Surfing has to be one of the best water activities in the world. It is a sport that amateurs and pros can equally enjoy and Baja has to be one of the best places to learn and experience it.
I was picked up at my hotel at 8:00 am by the Costa Azul Surf Shop team and we headed north on Highway One, our final destination Cerritos Bay!
Alejandro Olea, owner and famous surfer, lead our tour. The Costa Azul Surf team set up a perfect eco-friendly camp on the beach with six surf boards from their van. I could feel shivers up and down my spine. Alejandro and his team explained what we should expect from the day’s surf and after the initial lessons and a few tries with our own individual instructor, off we were, free in the water to ride on our own!
The Costa Azul Surf team captured my entire Surf Safari adventure on video and digital snapshots including, no doubt, my best waves! Then we had a great lunch in Todos Santos before being dropped off at the hotel back in Cabo.
The next day we all received copies on DVD of the most amazing surf experience ever to share with family and friends back home!
I can only say I am ready for another surfing experience which will obviously be with my new Cabo friends, the Costa Azul Surf Shop team.
